Ensuring your Site can be Found
Search engine optimisation is a key factor in having a findable site. If your site can’t be found it is of no use to anyone, least of all your organisation.
Researching Keywords
Identifying how people will find your site is an important first step – researching the keywords that people enter into a search engine when they want to find an organisation like yours. While it is important that people can find you when they search for you by name, it is of greater importance to be found for more generic terms that are related to your business.
I can help you identify the optimal terms for your business and develop a site that will be successful in capturing traffic generated by those search terms. Researching the right terms is vital as it may be that people are searching for terms you would not have associated with your line of business, or that the terms that get the most attention are not the one’s you would have expected.
SEO Strategy
Once the search terms that will be of most importance to your site have been identified, it is possible to develop a strategy around those terms, developing content that reflects what your potential clients are searching for, and designing a site structure that echoes the hierarchy of the terms importance.
SEO as a Fundamental, not an Add-On
All of my sites are built with SEO in mind (both in the research prior to design and in the technical aspects of building the site) and provide a solid base for ongoing search engine optimisation work. As well as building fundamentally sound websites from an SEO perspective, I also offer ongoing SEO services if you require them.
Having a site that is not built with SEO best practises in mind from the beginning will make it extremely difficult to develop a site that will perform for your business – whoever you get to develop your site be sure and discuss search engine optimisation strategy with them.
