Very exciting news – I have been asked to speak at WordCamp Ireland in Kilkenny next weekend (6 & 7 March 2010) on the subject of “WordPress as a CMS”. I’ll be speaking on Sunday morning at 9.45 as part of the intro track.
This site uses WordPress as a CMS, and of course the sites in my portfolio also do, and in my talk I’ll be explaining how to best set up WordPress as a CMS, and some of the top plugins I have found for allowing WordPress to better function as a content management system.
The schedule for WordCamp overall looks fantastic – there are three tracks, an intro track, a blogger’s track and a tech track – each track has a great lineup and I’m looking forward to meeting a lot of people I’ve respected online for a long time but never met in person.
From what I understand are some tickets left for the event, though not that many – and it looks like it’s going to be a very cool weekend. I love grabbing a tea or coffee and a chat with people so make yourself known to me if you’re going to WordCamp and let’s meet up!
