Management Consultant Maura Doyle‘s website has gone live, it’s actually been live for a little while but I was waiting until we finalised some refinements before adding it to my portfolio section.
I’ve written a few short notes on the site in my portfolio section, and I mention that both myself and Maura felt that the site should reflect Maura herself, and not be a faux-corporation type aesthetic.
I’m very happy that the site does reflect Maura and her business, and it’s important to note the role of portrait photographer Claire Wilson. We investigated several possible photographers (there are a lot of really great photographers working in Dublin) but we felt that Claire’s work best reflected what we wanted for this project. Claire has an undeniable skill for capturing personality, and it was a pleasure to work her photography into the site.
The site is implemented using WordPress as a CMS, and one interesting detail of the project is the implementation of the testimonials.
A testimonial is added by adding a new page – when published the page itself does not appear on the site, but the content of all testimonial pages is added to the Clients page.
I used WordPress plugin Custom Field Template to make it easy to add a short version to each testimonial that will display on the homepage using jQuery tools slideshow which Dave Jeffery was kind enough to point me to when I ran into trouble with the carousel code I had.
All that’s left to say is that this site was a pleasure to work on. I really have some of the best clients, and Maura was an ideal client so I’m extra pleased that she’s happy with the result (check out the testimonial at the bottom of the portfolio page).
And of course, check out Maura’s brand new website.
