Alan McCarthy Financial Service wanted a website for his business, a site that would represent the business in a professional manner, but not necessarily following the somewhat staid nature of many financial websites.

We settled on a colour pallette we felt was within the financial range, but staying clear of those somewhat predictable blues. Both myself and Alan were agreed that the homepage would need a splash of colour and some attractive imagery to invite the visitor to explore further – we went to great lengths to source imagery that provided a visual link to the services Alan McCarthy Financial Services provides, carefully negotiating the stock image terrain, avoiding images of familiar models shaking hands until we found what we feel are the perfect images – recognisable visual metaphors, without being clichéd.

The site is built using WordPress as a content management system which allows Alan to easily maintain the site and publish regular news items.

Having started my own business just under a year ago, I felt that I needed to take my business to the next level.
